Avast Antivirus Protect Review

Avast antivirus protect

Avast is a well-known brand in the field of cybersecurity. It is well-known for its superb malware detection, web security and other security features, such as a boot-time scanner as well as a virtual desktop. The product is also compatible with many devices and comes with a free VPN.

It is available in three different plan types – Protection, Privacy and Performance – depending on the number of devices you require to cover. It is also available on Macs as well as Android devices.

Avast detected all malware on the systems we tested. This is an impressive feat given that the software detects more than 1.5 billion threats each month.

The software’s speedy boot-time scanning is a different feature. It checks your system for potentially dangerous files before Windows starts. It took me less than an hour to run the complete scan on a computer running Windows 10.

Avast also offers a range of security tools aimed to protect data. Its Sensitive Document Shield is able to identify sensitive documents such as invoices, resumes, and tickets. It did not detect any sensitive documents, however, on the system that I tried it on.

Avast also includes an email Guardian tool, which scans your email account for suspicious attachments as well as phishing links. It also offers an option called Bank Mode that provides a virtual desktop that is safe from keystroke recording, screenshot attempts and other malicious applications. Avast has a solid privacy policy. The company claims that it only collects information that is necessary for protection, and its analytics business Jumpshot does not sell the data to large corporations once it has been “de-identified.”
